Who can receive assistance?
Anyone facing hardship in Ontario or Quebec: newcomers, refugees, low-income families, seniors, youth and people in emergency situations.
Is assistance free?
Yes. All OHJD services are provided free of charge and confidentially.
How do I request help?
Call 613-408-6137 or write to ohjd.canada@gmail.com and a coordinator will contact you.
How are donations used?
Donations fund food, clothing, furniture, school supplies and emergency assistance. We publish an annual impact report.
Can I volunteer with no experience?
Absolutely. We provide orientation and training for every role.
Do you serve outside Ontario and Quebec?
Our programs focus on Ontario and Quebec, but we can refer you to partner organizations elsewhere in Canada.
